A 10-year-old lady from British Columbia has died after struggling a medical emergency aboard a flight in the US.
The Los Angeles Division of Medical Examiner-Coroner has recognized the lady as Janice Xu of West Vancouver.
The coroner says she died Thursday night. Xu was flying from Los Angeles to Seattle with Delta Air Traces.
The coroner says an investigation is underway to verify the reason for her loss of life.
Ian Gregor, spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration, says in a press release that Delta Air Traces Flight 2423 returned to the Los Angeles airport after departing for Seattle due to a medical emergency.
The Los Angeles Fireplace Division says in a written report that paramedics responded to the airport simply earlier than 6 p.m. PT on Boxing Day.
“Paramedics responded to a medical support for a minor feminine baby and furiously labored to avoid wasting her life. Sadly, all efforts have been futile and the kid was past medical assist,” the report says.
Her loss of life was decided on scene, it says.
The report is titled “cardiac arrest,” nevertheless it says the police division will deal with the loss of life investigation and the coroner will decide the reason for loss of life.
The police division deferred inquiries to the coroner.
