An armed auto-body store security guard was fatally shot by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday evening, a report stated.
The man, recognized by his boss to CBSLA as 18-year-old Andres Guardado, was shot at about 6 p.m. after operating from deputies in the city of Gardena.
“The police got here up, and so they pulled their weapons on him and he ran as a result of he was scared, and so they shot and killed him,” Andrew Heney, the store’s proprietor, informed the community.
“He’s obtained a clear background and the whole lot. There’s no cause.”
It was not instantly clear what led police to answer the placement in the primary place.
When the deputies first noticed Guardado he “produced a handgun” and fled, a sheriff’s division spokesperson stated at a press briefing.
“Deputies engaged in a brief foot pursuit between the 2 companies, in some unspecified time in the future the deputies contacted the suspect and that’s when the deputy-involved capturing occurred,” the spokesperson stated.
The proprietor of the autobody store informed the outlet that Guardado was working exterior to discourage a latest spate of graffiti.
