Apple Inc will shut some stores again in Florida, Arizona, South Carolina and North Carolina in the United States due to a spike in Corona Virus cases, Bloomberg News reported on Friday.
The stores are in states the place COVID-19 infections are on the rise regardless of a decline in most areas of the U.S.
“Due to present COVID-19 circumstances in some of the communities we serve, we’re briefly closing stores in these areas,” an Apple spokesperson mentioned in a press release. “We take this step with an abundance of warning as we intently monitor the scenario and we glance ahead to having our groups and prospects again as quickly as potential.”
Apple closed its U.S. stores because the pandemic hit the nation, and final month started steadily reopening the areas as lockdowns and restrictions had been relaxed. Some stores had been boarded up or closed on account of unrest throughout protests over police brutality in the previous few weeks.
After the reviews on the difficulty, Wall Street’s foremost indexes slipped into the pink in unstable buying and selling. At 12:18 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 127.74 factors, or 0.49%, at 25,952.36, the S&P 500 was down 12.15 factors, or 0.39%, at 3,103.19. The Nasdaq Composite was down 16.49 factors, or 0.17%, at 9,926.56.
