Gunmen burst into an unregistered drug rehabilitation centre in Mexico and opened hearth Wednesday, killing 24 folks and wounding seven.
Police in the north-central state of Guanajuato mentioned the attack occurred Wednesday in town of Irapuato. Three of the seven wounded had been in severe situation.
Apparently the attackers shot everybody on the rehab centre; state police mentioned no one was kidnapped.
Guanajuato is the scene of a bloody turf battle between the Jalisco cartel and a neighborhood gang, and the state has develop into probably the most violent in Mexico.
No motive was given in the attack, however Gov. Diego Sinhue mentioned drug gangs seem to have been concerned.
